Blue Flamingo Community Lunch & Sing-along

Blue Flamingo Cafe and Community Hub is dedicated to preventing isolation and loneliness by providing a friendly, welcoming and inclusive space for older adults, people living with dementia and their carers to come together to socialise. Whether you are looking for practical support or simply a friendly face and a chance to chat over bite to eat and brew, our doors are open to everyone. We believe in the power of community and strive to make every person who comes through our doors feel seen, heard, valued and held.

Our Penwortham venue is a music-focused hub, designed to get you singing, moving and connecting. We offer three sing-along sessions each week, each led by a different musician or guest, and at the end of the month we host a ‘Mystery Week’ which could be anything from a ukulele group to a recorder ensemble, special guest performer, music bingo or an Instrument Petting Zoo. No matter what’s on offer, it will always be interactive and encourage people to get involved.

All of our sessions include our signature buffet-style community lunch with plenty of cake and brews. We hold our sessions on the first four Wednesdays of the month.

We are a donations-only group and there is never any need to book in advance — simply show up on the day. There is a car park onsite and the venue is fully wheelchair-friendly.
