Leyland United Reformed Church (LURC), located on Hough Lane in Leyland, Lancashire, is a welcoming and inclusive congregation dedicated to serving the local community. The church offers a variety of services and activities aimed at fostering community spirit and supporting individuals, including those living with dementia.
Dementia Hub: In collaboration with South Ribble Dementia Community Connection, the church hosts a monthly Dementia Hub on the first Friday of each month from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. This drop-in session offers support, information, and social interaction for individuals living with dementia and their carers.
Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST): Partnering with Age UK Lancashire, LURC provides CST sessions every Wednesday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. These sessions aim to maintain cognitive function and enhance quality of life for individuals with dementia.
